The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Sanibel and Captiva Island animals and their homes. With over 1300 acres of protected land including beachland, marshland, estuaries and more.
One way the SCCF aims to fulfill its goals is through education. At the SCCF you will find educational programs that vary from interactive games for children hands to tours and excursions for adults. Other activities include beach walks, trail walks, boat tours, wading trips, kayak tours, and a variety of classroom-based activities.
Other attractions at the SCCF headquarters include four miles of trails (with an observation tower), exhibits, a touch tank, butterfly house, nature shop and a native plant nursery.
Make the SCCF part of your next trip to the Sanibel & Captiva Islands and you will be glad you did.
