For families the museum also has a learning lab that gives children a hands-on education about shells. Activities for kids include a play area, interactive displays and games, educational video and of course a large collection of shell books.

The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission is free for children 4 and under, $5 for youth ages 5-16 and $9 for 17 and over.
